Hayden's 6th Birthday

Hayden turned 6 on November 20th. We decided to have his party on the 26th when Roz could join us so his real birthday was just a quiet night at home. We had cookie bars for desert. We decided to save his gifts for the party so he didn't even open any presents. He didn't seem to mind because he was super excited to have a party!

So Saturday the 26th we picked up a big cake from Costco (FYI: they're not as good as Sam's Club cakes) and a huge 6 foot party sub from Fry's. We rounded out the feast with hot wing dip, taco dip, a veggie tray, and chips.

We invited all the AZ family for what I am sure will be the first of many birthday celebrations. All the boys couldn't wait for the party. They were counting down all week! It was also a great way for Roz to be able to see everyone during her short visit!

Hayden was surprised he got all his candles out with one blow!

The kids had a good time playing with their Arizona cousins while the grown-ups visited. We did get the kids to sit down for a few minutes to eat, but then they were off to play again.

Joey and Annabeth even hung out a bit. In a few months I think these two will be causing lots of trouble together!  :)

Hayden was very happy with all his gifts. They have already provided hours of fun!!!

  2. Can't really believe Hayden is really six years old. Glad a great time was had by all. Sorry the Costco cake wasn't the best. They make good cookies though and pumpkin pie - yum.
